"Wilbert Taylor has returned to his home in Ottisfield (sic) - Mrs. Ali Mink visited her parents in Appleton, Tuesday - Mrs. H.H. Fogler went to Augusta Tuesday and returned home Friday - Mrs. D.J. Bowley and Mrs. Ali Mink were in Warren Thursday. School closed in district no. 7, Friday the 15th - Mrs. Martha Vogler has been visiting relatives in Augusta the past week - Grange sociable at Thaddeus Hastings last Saturday."

"Mrs. Clara Mansfield of Hope was this week paid $1000 through the agency of Bird & Barney, being the amount of policy upon the life of the late D.H. Mansfield. The insurance was paid only a few days after death."

Miss Esther Wiley of Thomaston is teaching the Lake school and boards with Mrs. Margaret Graswsow.

Miss Gertrude Grassow was in Union last Saturday.

Halver Hart and Woodbury Lermond took a joy ride Sunday in Waldoboro.

Mr. and Mrs. Halver Hart are receiving congratulations upon the birth of a daughter. The name of the newcomber is Annie Arlene, weight 9 pounds.

Mrs. Christian was the guest of Hazel Hart recently.

Miss Florence Gath, who is in Shirley, Mass., attending High school, will spend her Summer vacation at Alford Lake.

Mr. Donahue brought some good cows of F.L. Hart recently.

Arthur and Edith Hart and Dorris Worcester are attending school at South Hope.

Mr. and Mrs. Urban Trask are receiving congratulations upon the birth of a son.

Mrs. J.G. Gath called on Annie Hart last week."
